Children and young people
Camden is a unique and exciting place to grow up, but it also presents a number of challenges to young people. We work with Camden Council and other local partners to improve the health and lives of children and young people.
How are we going to improve the health of children and young people in Camden?
Camden CCG commissions a range of services for children including community paediatrics, nursing, speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, child and adolescent mental health services (CAMHS) and the health input into our multi-agency MOSAIC service for disabled children. We monitor the performance of these services and work with them to make sure they are high quality.
Camden CCG also works closely with the local authority to improve the health of all children. We work together to promote good health and well-being for all children, young people and their families. This includes a range of initiatives to reduce obesity, stop smoking, prevent substance misuse and reduce teenage pregnancy and sexual health concerns. Camden's 2019/20 Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) Transformation Plan is now available.
