Simon WheatleyDirector of Primary and Community Commissioning (Interim)
Simon joined Camden CCG in January 2019. Originally the Assistant Director for Primary Care, from December 2019, he is working as the interim Director for Primary and Community Commissioning. The focus for this role is joining up the commissioning of services outside of hospital; bringing providers together to deliver tangible benefits of integration in line with the NHS Long Term Plan.
Prior to joining Camden, Simon spent 5 years with a leading international innovation and transformation consultancy, working exclusively with NHS clients. This comprised assignments including overseeing the country’s largest GP Access Fund, driving a programme of primary care transformation for 2+ million residents in North West London, building an accountable care partnership in order to secure a £100m adult community contract, and developing successfully-approved business cases for out of hospital integration.
Before this Simon led business development and service mobilisation for a community services provider, as well as a registered social landlord / leading domiciliary care provider.
