Neeshma ShahDirector of Quality and Clinical Effectiveness
Neeshma joined the NHS in 1981 as a ward based pharmacist, continuing her healthcare career in community pharmacy where she developed her skills of improving safe practice and health outcomes, and managing resources within the constraints of a finite budget. During this time she also led on workforce development of pharmacy teams. Neeshma returned to the public sector in 1999 as a Prescribing Advisor when Primary Care Groups were created, serving 4 years on a Professional Executive Committee (PEC).
She has been in a senior leadership position for 13 years at Camden, initially as the Head of Medicines Management, before taking on the role of Director of Quality and Clinical Effectiveness. Her portfolio includes medicines optimisation, quality and safety, safeguarding adults and children, and research governance.
